Manzanillo
Manzanillo is situated between Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco, on
the
Pacific coast of Mexico. It is on the same latitude as Hawaii, and
has
a wonderful, moderate climate. There are about 10 kilometres of
golden sand beaches, right in town. Beach front real estate abounds!
Manzanillo is home to the largest port in Mexico, as well as 'super'
base for the Mexican Navy. About 125,000 people live in the greater
Manzanillo area, and yet it still has a small-town feel.
There are 3 major shopping centers in Manzanillo: La Comercial
Mexicana, Soriana, and Wal-Mart, as well as numerous smaller shops.
There are also many restaurants, night clubs, and movie theatres.
Several major airlines service Manzanillo, including Alaska,
Continental, Delta, Mexicana, AeroMexico, and Magna-Charters. During
the winter, charters from Canada and the United States also service
Manzanillo.
No matter how you look at it, Manzanillo is a great place to visit
and
live, and real estate is still a relative bargain.
